About MBB Utilities Ltd

MBB Utilities Ltd is a United Kingdom registered private limited company delivering buried services infrastructure for principal contractors, developers, network owners and local authorities.

We operate across the full lifecycle of a utility job — trial holes and survey, permit and notice, excavation, installation, backfill, and permanent reinstatement — with as-built records issued on completion. Splitting that work between a civils gang, a jointer and a surfacing crew is where programmes slip, so we carry all three.

Our gangs are directly employed and our plant is on our own books. It costs more to run than a book of subcontractors, and it is the reason a supervisor on site can make a decision without phoning head office, and the reason our reinstatements do not come back.

Telecommunications Infrastructure

We build the physical infrastructure behind full fibre rollout, from single street cabinets through to network-wide duct build. Fibre routes fail at the joints and the chambers rather than in the middle of a duct run, so we build the awkward parts properly — bends kept within radius, chambers set to final level, and ducts proved before anyone arrives with a cable.

Water Infrastructure

We construct and maintain the distribution networks serving homes, businesses and public spaces, working within the regulatory frameworks set by the water companies and the Drinking Water Inspectorate. Every main is chlorinated, pressure tested and recorded before it is handed over.
